GENERATION 3 - THOMAS QUINE SON OF ROBERT

Thomas Quine, son of Robert and Margaret of Arderry was left £10 by his mother and ‘a heifer the speckled heifer and a bed sted and bed close with the one half of a parcel of sheep that lod’g at Glondyneenmunney’ by his father. In 1795 an uncle of Thomas’s died in Lonan. He was John Clague of Ballavarrane, Lonan. He was unmarried and left £4 to the poor of his parish. His executor and beneficiary was one Thomas Kneal, also of Ballavarrane, who inherited more than 20 guineas. The Sumner of Braddan served notice on a number of Quine relations including Thomas Quine being among the next of kin to the deceased. In 1803 Thomas Quine was able to sign his name confidently to a receipt for his father’s legacies. Nothing further has yet been discovered of Thomas after this date.
